Two 4Axis Apps Featured at Apple WWDC 2026

June 11, 2026

WWDC 2026 was a memorable event for 4Axis Technologies.

During Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, two of our creative apps were featured across two of the conference’s most important presentations.

Drawing Desk appeared during the WWDC 2026 keynote as part of Apple’s App Store app icon displays, while SketchPro was highlighted during the Platform State of the Union presentation as an example of Apple’s new Liquid Glass design system in action.

For the teams behind both apps, it was an exciting moment and a reflection of years spent building creative experiences for artists, students, and creators around the world.

What Is WWDC?

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) is the company’s annual event for developers, designers, and technology creators.

Each year, Apple introduces the latest versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS while unveiling new technologies, frameworks, and design systems that shape the future of app development.

WWDC 2026 introduced major updates across Apple’s platforms, including advancements in Apple Intelligence and the introduction of the new Liquid Glass design language.

Among the thousands of apps available across Apple’s ecosystem, Drawing Desk and SketchPro were both featured during the event.

Drawing Desk Featured During the WWDC Keynote

During Apple’s keynote presentation, viewers were shown a large display of App Store icons representing the diverse range of apps available across Apple’s platforms.

Among those apps was Drawing Desk.

Seeing Drawing Desk included in this showcase was a proud moment for the team and the millions of users who use the app to learn, practice, and enjoy digital art.

What Is Drawing Desk?

Drawing Desk is one of the world’s leading learn-to-draw and digital art apps, helping artists of all ages develop their skills through easy-to-follow, step-by-step lessons.

The app offers more than 1,000 interactive drawing lessons covering:

  • Anime and manga
  • Kawaii art
  • Animals and nature
  • Flowers and botanical art
  • Seasonal and holiday artwork
  • Doodles and creative sketches

Unlike traditional video tutorials, Drawing Desk combines guided learning, interactive practice, and structured lessons that help users improve while actively drawing.

Today, millions of artists, students, hobbyists, and families use Drawing Desk across iPhone, iPad, Android, and the web.

SketchPro Highlighted During the Platform State of the Union

The Platform State of the Union is Apple’s developer-focused presentation that follows the keynote each year.

During the session, Apple engineers explore new technologies, design systems, and best practices that developers can use to build better apps.

At WWDC 2026, Apple highlighted SketchPro while discussing the new Liquid Glass design system.

Apple stated:

“The new design is making apps more expressive and delightful while staying instantly familiar to users. It looks great in apps like SketchPro, where translucent brush panels and controls let artwork show through, even while you switch between tools.”

For the SketchPro team, it was exciting to see the app referenced during a presentation viewed by developers around the world.
