Recapping an Eventful 2018!

January 9, 2019

As another year is done, we’re all wasting no time making plans and resolutions, hoping and dreaming for what we want to happen and achieve this time around.

But it’s still hard to look ahead into the new year without reminiscing on what we were able to accomplish over the past 12 months.

2018 was definitely another excellent year for us at 4 Axis as we reached new heights and took a few more steps forward on our journey.

So as we start off 2019 here’s a recap of what 2018 was like for our company….

We got off to a great start by releasing Version 6 of our flagship product Drawing Desk, equipped with brand new features and tools. Seeing how users continued to respond positively gave us the boost we needed right at the start of the year.

Mid-year saw us hit more milestones as we reached 16 million downloads of Drawing Desk worldwide, by the 1st of August. Our flagship product also saw a rise in the App Store rankings worldwide. It was a dream come true for us, knowing that our very first product was still very much alive in the market 6 years into our run.

And as icing on the cake, our company received recognition from Sri Lanka’s newest ICT/BPM sector brand, for our efforts and success in the global market.

It was a great moment for us since it meant that we were not only helping our country come out into the global spotlight but also that we were inspiring other Sri Lankan companies like us to dream big and go after their ambitions.

We continued our steady pace forward into October ended up being a great month for our second product Colorgram.

Almost a year after its release our adult coloring app was handpicked to be on the App Store’s “Latest Favorite” List in 6 different Asian countries.

Receiving much attention after only a short time of it being out in the market gave us renewed hopes that Colorgram would do well for us in the coming years.

Having received so much positivity and success, we decided to spread some to others in need by helping a group of rural schools take a few steps forward towards a better future!

It was a heart-warming end to an already great year, that left us with some good memories to last throughout.

In addition to bringing us further up the industrial ladder, 2018 also gave us plenty of learning curves as well. A big shout out to Dr. Sanjiva Weerawarana, the founder of WS02 for visiting us and giving us his insight into the industry both locally and globally!

As we leave an eventful 2018 behind we continue to cherish these moments, drawing inspiration from them, as we look forward to whatever’s in store for us in 2019. We hope to go even further this year, to work harder and to be better in all areas of our work, so that we can bring out the best for everyone!
